Tasks:

Technology & Operations
We are expanding the Product Strategy Team in Budapest (established in 2017). Our rapidly growing iHub plays a central role in offering clients and prospects connectivity to and information on the investment process to ensure a best-in-class client experience. This team is responsible for a wide range of activities, including maintaining platform data and analytics, production of client & fund reports as well as marketing collateral and presentations. We are seeking high-energy, self-motivated individuals to help grow the team. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, responsible for managing multiple deliverables and tasks concurrently. The role represents an opportunity to learn about our investment capabilities and grow your career at BlackRock, the pre-eminent global asset manager. The 6-month internship’s expected start date is Autumn 2021 with 20-40 hours of work per week, with the option to extend.


Team Overview

Global Fixed Income (GFI)
The GFI team has a comprehensive breadth of investment capabilities – index, factors, and alpha-seeking by analyzing and capturing return opportunities, which take skill, insight, and experience. We have an extensive and comprehensive platform of fixed income capabilities at Blackrock spanning index to alpha-seeking to alternatives, and across public and private markets enabling solutions tailored to help meet client objectives. As the world’s largest fixed-income manager with US(USD)2.6 trillion USD under management, our clients benefit from deep resources, investment expertise across regions, sectors, and styles, and exceptional access to fixed income capital markets.

Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS)
The MASS team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of BlackRock’s index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver precise investment outcomes and cutting-edge alpha insights. MASS constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS has over the US(USD)677 billion in assets under management, with a strong presence in San Francisco, New York, Princeton, London, the Asia Pacific region, and a growing team in Budapest.


Role Responsibility

  • Support the Budapest Fixed Income and MASS PS teams with daily work including data management, marketing material production and reporting - details as follows:
  • Closely follow global markets and have a desire to learn about the investment management industry
  • Maintain and update portfolio review decks and other standard marketing collateral
  • Submit materials through the central compliance system, and address follow-ups
  • Build and support recurring reporting templates using BlackRock technology
  • Maintain product pitchbooks and other standard client collateral such as factsheets, updating central content libraries where necessary
  • Update DDQs and RFIs with platform level data including headcount, AUM
  • Gather and report flows and performance
  • Maintain and send daily internal reports (cheat sheets, fund daily performance, etc.)
  • Liaise with other Product Strategy teams
  • Support and investigate technology and process options to scale and automate routine client service activities


Requirements:

Key Qualifications

  • BA/BS or MA/MS enrolled students currently in their last year of studies, preferably (but not necessarily) in programs related to quantitative, finance, economics, or business disciplines
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and strong attention to detail
  • High proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manipulate data in a spreadsheet
  • Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to create marketing slides - python and/or VBA or other coding languages is a plus
  • Analytical ability to synthesize information and summarize issues and ability to effectively combine outputs from different sources of technology/systems.
